60 FPS Performance Now Available in Red Dead Redemption on PS5

The 1.03 update is now live and consists of a small patch that adds the framerate option for fans in the main menu. Red Dead Redemption launched for PS4 and Nintendo Switch back in August. Still, the title was later made available for PlayStation 5 through backward compatibility, allowing a more prominent host of the audience to enjoy the classic title.

Red Dead Redemption Receives 60 FPS Patch on PlayStation 5

 

The first Red Dead Redemption game only ran at 30 FPS on the initial launch for all the consoles. However, with the Patch 1.03, Rockstar has improved the experience for all the gamers looking to explore the Wild West with John Marston. The titles are considered a pinnacle of the gaming industry as both Re d Dead titles have successfully enthralled their audiences through their story, characters, and immersive gameplay loop.

With the 60 FPS unlocked, PlayStation 5 users are in for a treat with a much smoother experience. Upon the initial launch, fans were seemingly disappointed by the lack of features Rockstar had introduced with RDR's PS4 and Switch release. Moreover, Take-Two Interactive's CEO defended the high price tag by saying its commercially accurate.

While the statement received considerable backlash, the developers quickly worked on delivering a better experience to fans with the 1.03 patch.

The port was long-awaited for PlayStation 5 fans as the title was already a massive hit on the Xbox Series X|S through Microsoft's backward compatibility feature. Currently, PC fans are the only ones left behind who need the option to enjoy the title on the platform. However, one must understand that Rockstar often takes time before launching their ports on the desktop.
