Resident Evil Village Is Available To Play On iPhone And iPad

During the release of iPhone 15 series smartphones, Apple teased the release Triple-A titles like Assassin's Creed Mirage and Resident Evil on iPhones.  While the announcement confirmed that the iPhone 15 would support these AAA titles, the developers will stay a ways away from release. 

After a long wait, Capcom's Resident Evil Village is now available on iPhones and iPads to play. Resident Evil Village is the eighth installment of the popular franchise and a sequel to its predecessor, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Released in early 2021, Resident Evil Village received applause from the community for its gameplay, storytelling and fantastic environment design. It won several awards at Golden Joysticks Awards 2021, including the 'Ultimate Game of the Year' award.

Apple also talked about bringing Resident Evil 4  Remake to ioS. Resident Evil 4 Remake's Apple Store page is live with a placeholder date, and Capcom has not announced the official release date.

Resident Evil Village On iPhone and iPad: Requirements

Resident Evil Village is a survival horror game where the players assume the role of Ethan Winters, who explores a Romanian village to rescue his daughter after his wife gets killed by mysterious men and kidnaps his six-month-old daughter. Fans can experience the popular game from the Resident Evil franchise on their iPhones and iPads. Resident Evil Village will only be available on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, while iPad users must ensure they have an iPad Pro or iPad Air with M1 chipset or higher. Additionally, iPhones should be running on iOS 17 or higher, while iPads on iPad OS 17 or higher. While players won't be able to play the game using a keyboard and mouse, they can connect either a wireless or wired controller to their iPad for the best experience.

If the player's iPhone or iPad satisfies the requirements, they can head to Resident Evil Village's Apple Store page to download the game, of size 1.4 GB. After downloading Resident Evil Village, the game will prompt the user to download an additional 8 GB of in-game content. Players can purchase the following additional packs and DLCs in the game:
