Project Madras is a semi-linear open-world game set in the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. In the gameplay video, the developer showcases the beach and city environment of the game and how the players can interact with their surroundings. The gameplay video of Project Madras features the popular Marina Beach from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. All the objects in the game are physics simulated and, upon interaction, will behave like real-world objects.
The sun in the game is set to a time-lapse mode, offering different lighting variations. One can see people roaming on the beach, and these characters are metahumans created by Unreal Engine. Amongst many stalls on the beach, the developers boast about the corn stall with the flying fire particle visuals. During the gameplay trailer, the character's objective is to 'Take an auto to reach destination', where the audience can see the driving of a three-wheeler vehicle in the game. The characters are also physics-simulated, so players can hit them with their vehicles.

After the beach environment, the gameplay switches to a semi-urban environment with several buildings. While the buildings and their interior are made on the same model, the developers have added random assets to make each building unique. The video also gives a taste of the gun fights. Project Madras' animation side will take the motion capture route, and most of the current animation placeholders will be replaced by it.
The gameplay video has reached over 200K views with 17K likes on YouTube and is receiving a positive response from the audience. Project Madras is yet to announce the game's release date, and since the game is still under development, fans might have to wait for a few more months.
