The PS5 Slim is about to go on sale in India soon, with the pre-orders available from this week onward. Gamers interested in grabbing the lite version of the console are in for a treat, as the PlayStation 5 Slim is filled with various features to upgrade the gaming experience. One can pre-order the PS5 Slim variants from April 5, 2024, as the stocks will be available at various retailers, including the official ShopatSC, Amazon, Flipkart, Games The Shop, and many more. The variant of the console can be purchased both online and offline. 

Here's how one can do it step-by-step:

• Visit the official ShopatSC store or any other retailer that has the PS5 Slim in their stock.
• As of writing this article, the pre-orders are still not up, however, one can select the preferred version of the console (digital or disc edition), and select 'Notify Me'.
• Once the pre-order begins, the consumer will be notified and then can proceed to pre-order the PS5 Slim.

How Much Will The PS5 Slim Cost in India?

The PS5 Slim will have two different variants to choose from, each with a different price tag. The PS5 Slim disc version will be available for Rs. 54,990, whereas the digital edition can be purchased for Rs. 44,990. Consumers buying the digital edition can also purchase the PS5 slim disc separately. 

How Different is the PS5 Slim Compared to the Regular Version of the Console?

The PS5 Slim more or less delivers the same specifications as the original PlayStation 5, however, with a little more storage. The PS5 Slim offers a whole 1TB storage space compared to the 825GB of the PS5. The highlight of the console is undoubtedly the compact design, which takes a lot less space than the regular PlayStation 5. According to Sony, the PS5 Slim has about 30% smaller footprint compared to its predecessor. Moreover, the Slim variant is also a lot lighter in weight.

PS5 Slim and the regular version can run and support 4K gaming with optimal performance, targetting 4K at 60 FPS while targetting 120 FPS. India is the next region for the arrival of PS5 Slim after Sony released the console in the United States, Europe, the UK, and Japan.
