The ISO release included the most recent 7.09 patch in Valorant. While the character boasts a visually appealing and well-designed appearance, his in-game activities and gameplay lack a bit of excitement.
He falls into the category of specialized characters limited to specific roles and game objectives.
This guide will cover everything you need to know about ISO in the game, including how to use him for both attack and defense.
Every Agent of Valorant possesses a distinct set of skills, however, in comparison to other characters in his category, Iso stands out somewhat. Since Iso is a Duelist, it is required of the Agents in this role to initiate fights and take up duels on behalf of their team. He is a Chinese fixer for hire who is skilled at taking down opponents and going into a flow situation to win death duels. Through the use of his talents, he can focus and project energy into unbreakable protection while moving ahead precisely. Iso is a Duelist who is best suited for players who are comfortable with weaponry because of the way his powers greatly enhance a player's shooting prowess. As such, his skill set enables him to adopt a play style that's more similar to Reyna's than movement.

In Valorant, ISO is an extremely situational agent who struggles to carry out the duties of a duelist. A Duelist does not always have to pay a price for overextending themselves in gunfights or taking up space. Although ISO has a lot of tools that help eliminate opponents, his durability is questionable, particularly when compared to other Duelists. He can be useful in situations where you need to move opponents about or remove them completely off the map. He is not, however, a self-sufficient Duelist like Jett or Yoru, who frequently win fights without the help of their squad. By taking a close look at his skills, players can have a deeper understanding of him.
The Agent's signature skill, Double Tap, enables him to start a focus timer. Iso gets the ability to gather energy orbs from enemies he kills or helps kill after the countdown expires. Agent 24 can shoot these gathered orbs to activate a shield that can block one instance of damage from any direction. When Iso's shield is up, he can withstand anything, from a pistol shot to an Operator shot without losing any health. In terms of destructive abilities, he is similarly unaffected by taking one tick of a molly or using the Raze Ultimate for its full duration.
Iso can launch a molecular bolt through obstacles like walls and barriers thanks to undercut. This bolt applies the "FRAGILE" status to any enemy it comes into touch with, leaving them more vulnerable to damage. If this ability goes through one of your teammates, it can also render them "Vulnerable." Your opponents will take twice as much damage when they are in the "Vulnerable" state.
Contingency is the name for Iso's area of denial and crowd control ability. He can organize prismatic energy into an unbreakable energy wall that can deflect bullets. Like Harbor's Cascade, the wall moves forward as it is erected. On the other hand, it cannot be commanded to stop.
Iso's ultimate ability, Kill Contract, allows him to launch an energy column. When it strikes an opponent, it sends that opponent and Iso to a different interdimensional 1v1 battleground. The victor of the battle exits the arena, and the defeated party is put to death. Both players lose if they cannot win the duel. None of the players can use their abilities except for Iso's Double Tap since it is not advantageous in a duel. In addition, before entering the dimension, each player receives their entire HP, regardless of their health.
