Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is set to release on PC this year, as confirmed by Sony and PlayStation. The title will be available on Microsoft Windows from March 21, 2024. Gamers have long waited for the game to set foot on PC since its initial launch in February 2022. After almost two years, Sony has finally decided to bring the game to a wider audience.
In the last two years, many PlayStation exclusives have made their way to the platform, including God of War (2018), Days Gone, and The Last of Us. With Guerrilla Games' popular title announced, gamers are excited to see what it has to offer on PC.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition Release Date Announced by Sony and PlayStation
Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn which was released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and was brought to PC in 2020. Forbidden West continues Aloy's story as she resumes her battles between machines and tribes.
The sequel is a massive visual upgrade from its predecessor and includes a larger map area for gamers to explore. With the PC version coming in the next two months, gamers will likely explore more technical options and accessibility settings.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is also available to pre-purchase on both Epic Games Store and Steam. The Complete Edition will incorporate all the bonus content for the title:
- Blacktide Outfit and Blacktide Bow* (available only with pre-purchase)
- Nora Legacy Outfit and Nora Spear* (available only when linking your Steam account to PlayStation
- Network)
- 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)

Alongside the said features Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition exclusive PC features like unlocked frame rates, customizable graphics settings, and a plethora of performance-enhancing technologies like the NVIDIA DLSS 3 upscaling and frame generation. AMD and Intel users can also enjoy the FSR and XeSS respectively.
In the official Sony blog, developers also mentioned that gamers using high-end hardware with headroom can enjoy the image-enhancing NVIDIA DLAA feature as well. Forbidden West will rely on the DirectStorage technology for faster loading times on PCs. Other features include the complete support of 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 resolutions.
