GTA Trilogy: Coming to Netflix on December 14

Gamers rejoice! The iconic GTA trilogy, including Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, is set to hit Netflix on December 14, 2023. This marks a major milestone for the streaming giant, as it brings one of the most popular video game franchises of all time to its platform. With the hype for GTA VI increasing by the day among fans, this could be a good move on Netflix's part to drive users to the platform.

GTA: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is coming to Netflix on Dec 14

 

 

The GTA  will be available on mobile for free for all users of Netflix. The GTA Trilogy currently for all non-Netflix users costs around $12 ( Rs 1000) on mobile to download and play. The game will not come at an extra cost for fans who are subscribers to Netflix already. These GTA games will now be a part of a library of over 80 games already in the Netflix Video Game Library.

 

Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: The Definitive Edition is a collection of Grand Theft Auto games released by Take-Two Interactive's Rockstar Games in November 2021. It costs $59.99 on PC, PS4/5, Xbox 1/Series X, and Nintendo Switch. It won't be wrong to assume that the main reason for these games being available at this period is due to Rockstar Games already announced that the first trailer for GTA VI will be out in early December.

 

Co-CEO Greg Peters Of Netflix told analysts the following in the Q3 2023 earnings interview last month. 

“Our job is to incrementally scale to the place where games have a material impact on the business, We’ve got ambitious plans there. We want to really grow our engagement by many multiples of where it is today over the next handful of years.”
