A year has passed since the game was banned in the country and now it looks like Free Fire is likely to make a comeback in the country. With more and more concrete hints getting dropped by leakers, Garena is likely to make a comeback with the game, soon. Recently news surfaced that Garena is collaborating with the Uttar Pradesh government to promote Esports in the state, and if that becomes a possibility, the Free Fire Esports ecosystem would grow in the country.

Free Fire Promotional Content Leaks Hint At Free Fire Unban In India
A few images online hinted at a video shot in Mumbai to promote the game. In the images, a male and a female character were seen roaming the streets of Mumbai and enjoying the street food. There were also some stills that showed the characters visiting famous places and using the local transport, hinting that Garena is working towards making the game localised. Another hint came from Gyangaming, a Free Fire creator, who uploaded an Instagram story, and soon deleted it. The story suggested that the game would make a comeback soon, and gave a definite timeline for it, next month.
While it is unsure what the stills are trying to depict or what the storyline could be, an educated guess suggests that the developers are trying their level best to convince the government to unban the game in the country, just like its rival BGMI. India is a huge market for Esports and mobile Esports is thriving in the country with the return of BGMI. However, all of this news is to be taken with a grain of salt since there is no concrete information from the Garena, and all of the rumours surrounding a release date should not be taken seriously.
