Diablo IV: Season of Blood will launch on October 17, 2023, for PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. With the update, players are looking at a wide range of content that will improve the experience for gamers after Season 1. Season of Blood incorporates the following additions to Diablo IV:

  • Five new and returning endgame bosses
  • Updates to renown rewards
  • Updates to gem & stash storage
  • Updates to resistance & status effects

Fans can also expect many balancing changes coming to the title with Season 2. These will directly affect the Elemental Resistance Systems of characters alongside tweaking their Vulnerable, Overpower, and Critical Strike Damages. For the gems and stash storage update, gems will take less inventory space while stashes gain the ability to be searched and filtered.

As stated by Blizzard, new and returning bosses will be a significant part of the update. Lastly, the better target farming of Uniques and Uber Uniques will also be a major advantage for players. In other news, Blizzard has been busy for the past year pushing out updates for titles like Overwatch 2 and Diablo Immortal. Diablo IV was the first major project released in 2023, alongside the Invasion mode for Overwatch 2. The developers have also worked on countless patches for their recent Diablo game, including the upcoming update, Season of Blood.
