Diablo IV Players Now Have a Chance at Having Their Eulogy Read by Actor Megan Fox
Diablo IV players can now submit videos of their in-game death on Twitter and TikTok and have a chance of their eulogy being read by popular actor Megan Fox. This was announced on the official Diablo IV social handles. This is an interesting promotional strategy, to say the least. The game was one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2023 and is on its way to becoming one of the year's biggest hits. The Diablo franchise is riding a massive wave of momentum as its mobile release, Diablo Immortal was also met with similar fanfare and critical acclaim.
"Our vision at Blizzard is to create legendary experiences for all to share, and Diablo IV is an incredible realization of that vision,” said Mike Ybarra, President of Blizzard Entertainment. "With highly customizable gameplay, gripping storytelling, and plenty of options around how to engage with the world, this masterfully crafted expression of the Diablo universe is an outstanding example of what our talented development teams are capable of." It will be interesting to see how Blizzard plans to approach post-launch content for the game as Diablo IV has the potential to be a truly resilient live-service game a la Destiny and Destiny 2. The success of the launch will likely fuel more DLC content and other content expansions that will arrive later this year. The game is out now across all platforms.
