Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Set New Record for Engagement

Activision announced their recent engagement records right after a few days of Modern Warfare III's launch. That said, the tweet does not mention specific numbers. While gamers are still guessing the numbers, one can assume the reception has been pretty strong considering the developers are celebrating MWIII's launch.

Modern Warfare III did not release on a good note due to its short campaign length and a multiplayer mode that missed out on a good chunk of content. However, many fans on the official post have been praising Activision for the support they have been offering. According to them, the recent updates have also been a huge backbone for the title in many positive ways. Compared to the past two games in the trilogy, MWIII has still a long way to go in terms of polish and delivering a complete multiplayer experience.

Why Was Modern Warfare III a Miss for Many on Launch?

Released on November 10, 2023, Modern Warfare III launched to a mixed critic score alongside many downsides that it came with. One of the major issues that fans had to tell about the game was the under-cooked campaign with lacklustre characters and plot. Additionally, the title also lacked many proper multiplayer features that made its predecessors much more fun and engaging in the long term.

With the recent developer's post, however, it seems the tables are slowly turning for the game as the title is reaching new heights with its engagement records. While it is definitely a positive reception for the game, it is still yet to be seen what the developers have in the pipeline for MWIII.
