Game Designer, Director, and Producer Todd Howard has officially confirmed full mod support for Starfield in 2024. Popular Japanese outlet Famitsu asked Todd Howard in an interview regarding their latest IP's mod support. Todd replied that the studio intends to support the modding "in a big way." Bethesda has always been supportive of the modding community throughout their past titles. Both Fallout and Skyrim generated an enormous modders hub that delivered some game-changing experience for players.
From Day 1, modders have been creating content to improve Bethesda's latest title in various ways. Many of these mods have also added significant performance fixes compared to official updates.

In the official interview with Famitsu, Todd mentioned that one will be able to do almost anything, similar to the older titles when it comes to using mods. He also added that the mod support would be available next year, where the developers will love it too and will be doing it in a big way.
Starfield has quickly made it as Bethesda's biggest launch as an Xbox Games Studios title. Moreover, the space-adventure epic is one of the only Xbox exclusives to garner so much attention. The title has been a direct competitor to PlayStation exclusives, with Starfield breaking several records in sales and player counts since its release last week.
