Batman: Arkham Trilogy Launch Date Postponed on Nintendo Switch

The Batman: Arkham Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch console has been delayed following an official announcement from the developers. The trilogy consisting of the three Arkham games was set to make its way to Switch on October 13, 2023. However, fans will now have to wait until December 1, 2023, as stated on the official post by Batman: Arkham's Twitter/X handle.

Batman Arkham Trilogy Delayed on Switch Following Official Announcement

In the official Twitter/X post by Batman: Arkham's handle, the developers mentioned that they needed more time to bring players the best possible experience on Nintendo's handheld console. They also apologized to the fans looking forward to the launch of the Arkham Trilogy and ended the note by thanking them for being patient. 

Ever since Nintendo Switch's release in 2017, the handheld device has offered various titles to fans, including major AAA games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Doom. Nintendo also did not hold back when offering players with one of the recent fighting titles, Mortal Kombat 1. However, considering the state of the MK1 release, it's hard to argue against taking extra time to polish the Arkham series for the arguably weakest platform out there right now. 

Turn Me Up Games is in charge of the Nintendo Switch version, previously handling several Switch version titles such as It Takes Two, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, and the Borderlands Legendary Collection. Considering their success in developing the Switch versions so far, the Arkham games could potentially deliver a similar, fluid experience to fans. One can also expect a more polished launch on Switch, considering the two-month delay will allow developers to work harder on the title. As of now its unknow if there are any Switch-specific controls or mechanics implemented.
