Velocity Gaming Announces End of Esports Operations; VLT Sentinel Issues Statement

Velocity Gaming owner Manoj "Sentinel" Kasyap has revealed that his organization, Velocity Gaming is no longer involved in the esports community. With that, the organization has bid farewell to all its rosters from multiple titles in the Indian esports industry. Velocity Gaming played a big role in putting India on the global Valorant map. VLT has given space to both young and experienced players from the Indian gaming community.

Velocity Gaming Will No Longer Continue Their Esports Operations

After their Valorant Challengers Split in South Asia, Velocity Gaming's owner Manoj "Sentinel" Kasyap expressed the organization's dire financial situation and how the org expended resources allocated for over 5 years within a span of two years only. The owner hinted at VLT's departure from the Indian gaming community long ago. While the fans expected them to make it to Ascension 2023, the Valorant lineup struggled with their performance and suffered defeat in Split 2 of VCSA Challengers. The team was led by Europe's Ec1s and had former Fnatic pro, Doma in the roster. Despite a strong roster, Velocity lacked a few key pieces to make it to VCT Ascension 2023.

A few weeks ago, Velocity bid farewell to the Battlegrounds Mobile roster. The decision came in after a disappointing performance of the squad at the BGIS tournament. Unfortunately, they were unable to go past the tournament's Losers Bracket. With repeated failures and months of struggling in the Indian esports community, the owner had to make the decision to cease operations in the industry.

In his tweet, Sentil mentioned the organization's "indefinite" departure from the esports ecosystem and there might be chances of seeing VLT coming back in the future. For now, the fans and the esports community are sad and upset as they reminisce the days of the VLT lineups.
