Valorant Americas Kickoff Group Stage First Game Features NRG Esports Winning Against Furia
The major highlight of the game features Ethan securing a total of 37 kills throughout all two games. Between NRG Esports and Furia, both teams only got to play two maps as NRG secured both with strong performance.
The first map Breeze happened to be a pretty close game with many back-and-forth rounds. However, NRG came on top with each member of the team offering valuable performances. Victor on Cypher delivered the highest ACS in the game with 18 kills, going toe to toe against FURIA Duelists.
While Furia initially had a good start in the first half during Ascent, the team fell short of catching up to NRG's strong comeback which ultimately led to their victory. Most members of Furia failed to secure a positive KDA in the game, with Khalil being the only player having a 1 KD with Killjoy.
Valorant Americas Kickoff Group Stage Second Game on Day 1 Features Cloud9 Winning Against MIBR
The second match in VCT Americas Kickoff also proved to be interesting as both teams played through all three maps in the best-of-three series, something fans did not get to see with NRG vs Furia. The highlight undoubtedly stands with Cloud9 as the American team offered an exceptional foot.
While all games were pretty close, game one on Bind had a lot of back-and-forth moments, with C9 ultimately securing the ending rounds. The double Controller meta proved to be useful for both teams, as Wippie and Jakee both secured plenty of kills and support for C9.
Split was not the best map for Cloud9 as MIBR's performance was pretty strong. The latter team secured most rounds in the beginning followed by exceptional retakes and clutches.
The final map of the day, Lotus, is where C9 redeemed themselves in the game. That said, MIBR also showcased exceptional resistance; however, they fell short in the ending rounds as C9 secured three back-to-back.
