Valorant OFF//Season Convergence 2023: Groups, Schedule And More

Highlights

  • Riot announced India's first official international Valorant tournament to take place in Bengaluru, from 14 December to 17 December 2023.

  • The groups have finally been revealed and the schedule for the matches are out.

Riot Games, in collaboration with The Esports Club, has announced the OFF//Season tournament "Convergence 2023" as the Valorant 2023 season draws to a close. Bangalore, India will host the Convergence 2023 battle between five Valorant franchised teams from three different regions along with True Rippers, that qualified in the Indian Closed Qualifiers. Starting on November 30, 2023, the Convergence 2023: India Closed Qualifiers came to an end with a nail-biting Grand Final between True Rippers and Reckoning Esports where True Rippers won 3-2 in the best-of-five match series to qualify for the Main Event which is scheduled for December 14–17, 2023.

Valorant Convergence 2023: Updated Schedule and Groups

 

 

Each team is competing for the majority of the $50,000 prize money. The following teams have been invited to/have qualified for Convergence 2023: 

  • FURIA (Brazil)
  • Global Esports (India)
  • GenG (South Korea)
  • Team Vitality (Europe)
  • FUT Esports (Turkey)
  • True Rippers (Winners of Indian Qualifiers)

 

The six teams have been divided into two groups with three teams in each group. Two matches will take place every day, with one match from each group. The format for all the matches, except for the Grand Finals are best of threes, with the Grand Finals being a best of five. The round-robin will select the top team from each group that will compete against each other in the Grand Finals. The groups divided are as follows:

 

Group A

  • Team Vitality
  • Global Esports
  • FURIA Esports

Group B

  • GenG Esports
  • FUT Esports
  • True Rippers

 

A total of 7 matches will take place. 3 matches in each group will occur on 14, 15, and 16 December and one Grand Final on 17 December. The matches will take place in Manpho Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The schedule for the matches is as follows:

  • Match 1- Thursday, 14 December, 2023- GenG vs True Rippers
     
  • Match 2- Thursday, 14 December, 2023- Global Esports vs Vitality
     
  • Match 3- Friday, 15 December, 2023- FUT Esports vs True Rippers
     
  • Match 4- Friday, 15 December, 2023- FURIA vs Vitality
     
  • Match 5- Saturday, 16 December, 2023- FUT vs GenG
     
  • Match 6- Saturday, 16 December, 2023- Global Esports vs FURIA
     
  • Grand Finals- Sunday, 17 December, 2023- Group A Top Seed vs Group B Top Seed

 

The matches will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel of The Esports Club(TEC), Valorant Esports South Asia and Valorant Champions Tour Pacific from 14 December to 17 December, 12:30 PM (IST) onwards. The Esports Club's official website is where you can get free passes for the LAN event and BookMyShow is where you can get paid passes. BookMyShow's paid passes have three distinct tiers for fans whereas the free passes only offer one.
