After an eventful day one of Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024, day two of the VCL South Asia 2024 Cup #1 Regular Season was filled with action. On day two, Medal Esports and Orangutan Gaming played their second match of the season against each other, whereas Grayfox Esports made their debut in VCL South Asia 2024 against True Rippers.

 

Grayfox Esports made their debut series a memorable one as they defeated True Rippers with a 2-1 scoreline. Medal Esports secured the top spot on the leaderboard by defeating Orangutan Gaming, becoming the only team to win two games yet. Let's look at the recap of the second day of Valorant Challengers South Asia 2024: Cup #1 Regular Season.

Medal Esports Continues Their Winning Momentum On Day Two; Grayfox Esports Wins Their Debut Match Against True Rippers

 

 

Grayfox Esports played their first game of the VCL South Asia 2024 Cup #1 Regular Season against True Rippers. The best-of-three series started on True Ripper's map pick of Split, with Grayfox Esports holding the defence in the first half. Grayfox Esports ensured to secure an early domination with their 7-5 lead. While True Rippers tried making a comeback in the second half, they fell short as Grayfox Esports won Split with a 13-10 scoreline. 

 

 

Grayfox Esports continued their domination on the map of Lotus as they were in the lead with a 7-5 scoreline. True Rippers ensured they would make their comeback successful this time as they stopped Grayfox at ten rounds and won the map with a 13-10 scoreline, pushing the series to the decider map of Icebox.

 

Grayfox Esports let the loss on Lotus get the better of them and played in complete control on the third map of Icebox. Grayfox Esports secured the 7-5 lead for the third time in the series, followed by a tough fight against True Ripper's attack in the second half. Grayfox Esports locked their first victory of the season as they won Icebox with a 13-10 scoreline. 

 

 

For the second game of the day, Medal Esports went against Orangutan Gaming, and both teams were fighting to remain undefeated in the season. Both teams entered the map of Sunset to start the series, with Orangutan Gaming opting for the defensive start. Medal Esports started strong and were leading with a 6-1 scoreline when Orangutan bounced back to reduce the lead to 7-5 in favour of Medal. In the second half, both the teams were winning the alternate rounds, but thanks to Medal's lead from the first half, they won the map with a 13-10 scoreline. 

 

 

With the aim to drive the game to the decider map, Orangutan Gaming started strong on their map, Icebox. Orangutan managed to win the early rounds but lost control as Medal Esports won back-to-back rounds to push the scoreline to 8-4 in their favour. Orangutan Gaming needed help cracking Medal Esports' strategy, helping Medal Esports secure their second win of the season with a 13-9 scoreline.
