Team Spirit Wins Dota 2 Riyadh Masters After Taking Down Team Liquid
Team Liquid had a strong start in their first game, where a dominant Leshrac pick worked wonders for the team. The match ended within 33 minutes with Liquid claiming the map for themselves. In Game 2, Spirit made a huge comeback where they featured an aggressive playstyle with a Batrider pick to end the game at the 50-minute mark. As the series continued, Spirit seemed to take over the game with its unique drafts. The third game saw Spirit putting up an unconventional Troll Warlord pick which countered Liquid’s second Leshrac pick in every way possible.
After securing Game 2 and Game 3 for themselves, Spirit went back to their comfort picks and still closed out the map for themselves nailing the coffin of Liquid’s Riyadh Champions dreams. As a matter of fact, Spirit has once again won one of the biggest prize pools in Dota 2, winning $5 million for their first-place finish. Their earnings from this tournament alone have surpassed their entire 2023 DPC Season earnings. Four of the current players in Spirit nabbed a share of over $18 million thus making them the highest-earning professionals across all esports titles.
