Orangutan Releases Creator Ruchir Jha, Allege Financial Impropriety

Esports organisation, Orangutan, just announced the release of content creator Ruchir Jha. In a statement released on Twitter, Orangutan said that Ruchir is no longer associated with the organization. The decision was made after certain financial irregularities came to light. Ironically, Ruchir was one of the content creators who was retained by Orangutan while they were restructuring some of the org.

In the social media post, Orangutan stated that they came across instances where Ruchir was found engaging in the wrongful utilization of resources. The organization also said that Ruchir owed them money from his past brand deals. No further details have been shared by them, but here is the full statement:

 

We want to address a concerning situation involving one of our Content Creators. We want to inform you that Ruchir Jha is no longer affiliated with Orangutan. It has come to our attention that there are serious allegations against him, including financial impropriety with Esports Athletes, Creators, and Industry Stakeholders. We have also been made aware of instances involving misappropriation of resources intended for Orangutan. We want to clarify that all dues owed to Mr. Ruchir Jha have been settled. We are actively working to address the financial issues that have arisen. It is important to note that Mr. Ruchir Jha currently owes money to Orangutan from his brand deals. Additionally, any actions taken or supported by Mr. Ruchir Jha after his departure from Orangutan do not reflect the values and standards upheld by our organization.

 

The organization reiterated its commitment to transparency with its audience. Orangutan also mentioned that Ruchir's actions have negatively impacted other creators as well. Cutting all ties with the creator, Orangutan states that all dues with Ruchir have been settled despite the latter owing the organization some money from brand deals.
