It has been just a short while since BGMI made its return in the country. Now, a new report by News18 suggests that the game is going to get banned again due to security concerns. The game initially made a comeback in the country on a 90-days trial basis, but stayed here for almost nine months. Till now, the developers have hosted a few official events in the country along with an international event where they invited South Korean PUBG Mobile teams to play BGMI in an official tournament to celebrate the Indian-South Korean ties.

BGMI Ban In India Again? New Report Suggests
According to a new report by News18, the government's cybersecurity department has recommended that the app should not continue to function in the country. This concern has stemmed out of the fact that security was breached via the game. The case that came to light that Seema Haider from Pakistan had met a man, Sachin Meena from India through the game and then eventually came to the country with her kids.
The news report had cited a government source who said "The game’s servers are in the US but agencies want to be sure that there is no movement of data to other servers situated elsewhere." The report also claims that the Krafton has been asked to give a detailed report on the matter.
It is also being alleged that a huge meeting will take place between the government officials and to see if there was an actual breach and if the BGMI should be banned in the country again. When the game was initially banned, it was said by the official sources that:
This is a 3-month trial approval of #BGMI after it has complied with issues of server locations n data security etc. We will keep a close watch on other issues of User harm, Addiction etc in next 3 months before a final decision is taken
The government and Krafton are yet to respond to the alleged ban in the country.
