As the dates for the India-Korea Invitational are coming close, Gods Reign decided to sign in one of the veteran players of Indian PUBG, Mohammed "Owais" Lakhani. Starting from Team SouL, one of the most dominant teams in 2018, he has won many prestigious tournaments like PUBG Mobile India Series 2019, PUBG Mobile Club Open Spring Split: India, PUBG Mobile All Stars India 2019, and more. Owais has represented several organizations and won several tournaments both in PUBG and BGMI. He has also represented India on the international stage. He has also played under organizations like FNATIC, Galaxy Racers, and Enigma Gaming, and TSM. Owais left Enigma Gaming on 24 October 2023 and instantly got picked up by the reputed organization Gods Reign.

Owais' gaming journey started with titles like Counter-Strike and Call of Duty, where he honed his shooting skills and developed a keen understanding of strategic gameplay. However, it was the release of PUBG Mobile that truly set him on the path to becoming a professional gamer. In the early days of PUBG Mobile, Owais began competing in local tournaments and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent. His gameplay style, marked by precise aiming, quick reflexes, and sound decision-making, made him a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Owais' breakthrough moment came when he formed Team SouL, one of India's most prominent esports organizations, alongside fellow gamers MortaL and Viper. Together, they achieved remarkable success, dominating the Indian PUBG Mobile scene and earning a loyal fanbase. Their performance in international competitions like the PMCO Global Finals showcased Owais' ability to perform under immense pressure on the world stage.

The Gods Reign Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster now includes AquaNox, Blaze, NinjaJOD, Robin, in addition to Owais. In the BGIS 2023, where the team placed fifth, the team has recently performed really well under Robin's direction. It will be very interesting to see who will Owais be replacing on the roster, though, at this point. Owais is also an IGL, hence the likelihood that he will take Robin's place on the squad is very strong. Owais will be playing with AquaNox, Blaze, NinjaJOD once again after playing with them under the banner of TSM.

The India-Korea Invitational will take place from 26 October 2023 to 28 October 2023 at the Pragati Maidan Stadium in New Delhi, India. Eight Korean teams will be flying down to the capital of India to partake in the first international tournament since the ban of PUBG Mobile in September 2020. Gods Reign will be representing India alongside other home squads like Gladiator Esports, Team XSpark, Revenant Esports and more.
