Gods Reign Shines on the International Stage: Team India Wins Skyesports Souvenir 2023

After a glorious run at India's biggest CS:GO franchise league, Skyesports Masters, Gods Reign went on a rampage at the Skyesports Souvenir 2023. Skyesports Souvenir 2023 featured representations from six countries with Gods Reign representing India in the tournament finals. After a clean run in the playoffs, Gods Reign defeated Team UAE in the grand finals and crowned themselves as the champions of Skyesports Souvenir 2023. The Indian representatives won prize money worth $2,500 while Team UAE went home with $1,000 to their name.

India Representatives, Gods Reign, Win Skyesports Souvenir 2023

After qualifying for Skyesports Souvenir 2023, Gods Reign went up against the top teams from five other nations. The teams in Skyesports Souvenir 2023 were Team India, Team Pakistan, Team UAE, Team Nepal, Team Sri Lanka and Team Bangladesh. To qualify for the finals, all six teams had to play against each other in the playoffs, and the top two teams qualified for the finals. Team India had a dominant run through the playoffs as they went 5-0 in the groups and were at the top of the leaderboard. 

 

Team UAE, represented by Team Shush, was second in the playoffs and after qualifying for the grand finals, they were hungry to defeat the tournament's favorites. The finals were played as a best-of-three matchup and started with Team UAE's pick of Mirage. Continuing the same momentum from the playoffs, Gods Reign won the first map with a 16-14 scoreline. Team UAE made a comeback in the second map of Overpass and decimated their opponents with a 16-8 scoreline. The third map of Inferno went to overtime, but Team India came out stronger and won the map with a 19-16 scoreline and secured the championship.

 

Gods Reign's "reV3nnnn" dominated the tournament with 306 kills, 91.01 average damage per round(ADR), 41.48% headshot percentage, and was declared the event's MVP.
