Gods Reign was on to a great start when they began their open qualifiers' journey at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. The team was one of the two teams to have qualified for the closed qualifiers but their journey and the dream to enter the Asia RMR came to and end after they lost the consolidation final between them and Trouble Makers. This match was won by Trouble Makers 2-1 and Gods Reign lost on Mirage and Anubis.

Gods Reign Lose 2-1 Against Trouble Makers
The first round of the game was played on Mirage and from the get-go, Gods Reign was seen struggling a bit and from initially trailing 4-0, they recovered and reached 4-3 and were still trailing. By the time the first half came to an end, Troubler Makers were lading 8-4 and when both the teams entered the second half, Ph1NNN created a lot of trouble for TM but failed to keep up the performance and the opponents, Trouble Makers finally had a 13-7 victory.
The second match was a comeback story written by Gods Reign as they took on Trouble Makers on Ancient. f1redup was the star of the match and ensured that his team had a 10-2 lead against the opponents. Gods Reign continued their round performance against Trouble Makers and finally won the map 13-2. With this win, the team moved to the decider map, which was Anubis.
The final map of the day was Anubis and Gods Reign started their run of the map with a 3-0 lead. However, the Trouble Makers picked up their momentum across the map and put Gods Reign on the back foot. Before the first half ended, Trouble Makers had an 8-4 lead. The second half was tougher for both teams as they had the final chance to make it to the Asia RMR, and Gods Reign tried really hard and reached an equalising score of 8-8. Both teams put their best foot forward round after round as they reach OT before Gods Reign lost 16-13 to Trouble Makers, ending their run in the Closed Qualifiers of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
