Highlights

  • Gods Reign parted ways with their BGMI lineup.

  • Gods Reign secured second position at the India-Korea Invitational in Delhi.

  • While Robin has joined Orange Rock Esports, it is uncertain where the rest of the team will go.

Gods Reign enters the BGMI 2023 rostermania saga as they bid farewell to their entire BGMI lineup. The BGMI lineup comprised Aquanox, NinjaJOD, Blaze, Robin, and Owais. While Gods Reign announced the official disbanding today, this was expected as the players were already looking for a new home.

Gods Reign's former IGL, Robin, joined Orange Rock Esports for the BGMI Pro Series 2023. In the APL Winter Showdown Season 2, NinjaJOD played from the winning lineup, Team Omega, and secured the MVP title for his performance.

During the relaunch of BGMI in India, Gods Reign signed their BGMI lineup with ex-TSM core Aquanox, NinjaJOD, and Blaze with the IGL Robin from Chemin Esports. Later, Gods Reign announced the star player Owais as their fifth player. While Gods Reign comprised star players, the team found securing the podium finishes in tournaments difficult. After the game's relaunch, Gods Reign won the Villager Esports Pro Invitational 2023, with NinjaJOD being the tournament MVP. Despite starting the season strong, the team needed help to showcase their true potential.

Owais was the IGL of Team Engima Forever, which failed to qualify for the grand finals of BGIS 2023, whereas Gods Reign qualified for the grand finals and finished 5th. Thanks to their fifth-place finish in the grand finals of BGIS 2023, Gods Reign qualified for the India-Korea Invitational in Delhi. Just before entering the India-Korea Invitational, Gods Reign announced Owais as the stand-in player for the team. Owais' entry filled the team's void with international experience. Gods Reign showcased their peak performance at the India-Korea Invitational as the team finished in second and was the only Indian team in the top three.

Later, Gods Reign went on to play Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI LAN, followed by Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023, and finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Blaze was the MVP of the grand finals of Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023. While Robin has joined Orange Rock Esports, it will be interesting to see where the rest of the team will go for the 2024 season.
