LightningFast Signs With Global Esports For Valorant Champions Tour 2024 Season

After a long wait, Global Esports has started revealing its lineup for the upcoming VCT 2024 season. After trading Benkai for Monyet with the VCT 2023 Champions runner-up team Paper Rex, Global Esports unveiled Abhirup "LightningFast" Choudhury as their second player for VCT 2024.

LightningFast has been with Global Esports' Valorant division since the start of their campaign. Before entering the league, Global Esports was one of India's top teams with LightningFast being the core player of the team. With Global Esports joining the Pacific League, LightningFast was part of the team, but fans could only watch him play in specific circumstances. At the beginning of the VCT Pacific Regular Season in 2023, LightningFast was repeatedly unable to travel with the team due to visa issues. Later, with seven players on the team, it was difficult for LightningFast to get himself a spot in the playing five as the starting players built a decent system around stability.

With two players unveiled, Global Esports is expected to announce the rest of the lineup soon. According to Dr Rushindra Sinha, CEO and Founder of Global Esports, Global Esports will reveal their Valorant roster by Monday, i.e. 18 September 2023. The lineup might include at least six players alongside one new coach.
