XSET Esports, an organization from North American Valorant esports seem to have not kept their promises to their former players. As per latest reports, XSET denied it's players from the 2022 roster the 50% revenue generated from their Champions bundle.
As a result, the players have filed reports against the organization as the latter denied to provide proper compensation as per the revenue split. All the cases were filed separately in the state of California by former members on August 16, 2023.

Former XSET Members File Reports Against The Organization
The former members have filed complaints against the organization on the 16th August, 2023. The members include Zachary “zekken” Patrone, Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiba, Jordan “AYRIN” He, Rory “dephh” Jackson, and former coach Don “SyykoNT” Muir. All the players have filed reports with the LA County Superior Court of California.
The official documents cited negligence and inefficiency from XSET as they failed to pay their players the agreed upon 50% revenue generated off merchandise and digital items. The documents also stated that the players sent a letter to XSET which requested negotiations with the organization. However, XSET seemed to ignore the letter.
As per the allegations, XSET refused to honor the terms of it's own arbitration agreement which mandates XSET pay a non refundable filling of $2000 under Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services. The Gamer Agreements state that:
“XSET shall be responsible for all fees associated with the arbitrator’s fee, including associated travel expenses of the arbitrator, the rental of a room to hold the arbitration hearing and similar costs.”
Whether or not the players will be properly compensated remains a big question as the issues between the organization and players continue to heat up. This lines up with the trend of North American Valorant esports being caught in a downward spiral. Recently, The Guard failed to agree with Riot's terms and conditions for the 2024/25 VCT Americas League and has been denied their League spot for the next two years.
