Brazilian organization, Vivo Keyd, has announced that their Valorant roster has been benched due to uncertainty and lack of details regarding the OFF//SEASON and 2024 season. Vivo Keyd played at VCT Champions 2021 where they grew infamous for exploiting a game bug.
After 2021, Vivo Keyd has not made it to VCT LAN events as they could not keep up with the increasing competition in the Brazilian Valorant community. Other teams like FURIA and LOUD took over the region and paved Brazil’s way to international success in VCT.

Keyd Stars Bench Valorant Roster Due To Competitive and Financial Uncertainty
When loosely translated, here's what their statement reads:
"Dear Vivo Keyd Stars fans, we came to share some important updates related to the competitive scenario of VALORANT in 2024. At the moment, we still don't have the complete definition of the official championship calendar and other relevant information for next year. In the face of this uncertainty, as an organization, we have a responsibility to take precautionary measures aimed at the well-being of our players and the stability of our staff. We recognize the relevance of VALORANT as one of the fundamental sports in our history and we know how much we all share this passion. Therefore, we have made the decision to TEMPORARILY reallocate our VALORANT team to the bench." (sic)
Despite their lackluster performances, Vivo Keyd has been one of the biggest organizations in the Brazilian community without whom the early success of the game wouldn’t have been possible. Their roster consisted of some of the best players in Brazil including Olavo “Heat” Marcelo who is currently on the inactive roster of Made In Brazil. However, Keyd Stars was also known for the wrong reasons like exploiting an in-game bug in their match against Acend. Jonathan “JhoW” Gloria used a Cypher cam bug to secure six rounds against their opponents in the decider map of bo3, helping them secure a win.
When Riot officials got to know about the incident, they took strict action and awarded Acend with the win. The six rounds that JhoW secured by exploiting the bug were instead converted in favor of Acend, leading to Acend’s victory with a 13-9 scoreline. Now that Keyd Stars has made the decision to move away from Valorant, Brazilian fans continue to wonder where the players will go. While fans await Keyd’s announcements, Valorant Champions begin on 4th August.
