After bringing voice message support for Meta AI chats on Whatsapp earlier this year, Meta seems to be developing a new feature to give its chatbot a more personal touch.
As per a report from WABetaInfo, an upcoming memory feature will enable Meta AI to remember information users share and offer relevant responses in future conversations. The chatbot will reportedly be capable of recording various details, like food preferences, birthdays, and personal interests, and tailor future responses based on the provided information.

How Will Meta AI’s Memory Feature Work
The Memory feature was found in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android, but it’s not available to users. However, WABetaInfo has shared screenshots that reveal that it will be bringing a new Memory section to the Meta AI contact card in WhatsApp.
This section will list all the things Meta AI remembers about users. Its description reads: “Meta AI automatically remembers certain parts of your chat to give you more relevant responses.” Besides, there is a mention of the feature enabling users to manually commit information to Meta AI’s memory with a “remember this” command.
The report also suggests that users will have complete control over the information Meta AI saves, with options to update or remove details at any given time. Meta has yet to officially confirm any details about this feature, and it’s hard to outline a tentative timeline at the moment.

WhatsApp Gets Low Light Mode For Video Calling
Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp is getting a new low-light mode, which will help users attend video calls in low-light conditions. The feature was part of a recent update that brought the ability to add filters and background in video calls.
Enabling the low light mode on WhatsApp can enable users to have better video quality while taking calls in low lighting conditions while also reducing graininess in the image. To use the new low light feature, users need to tap on the bulb icon during a video call. The new feature is available for both iOS and Android versions of the app but is yet to make its way to the web app.
WhatsApp also recently rolled out a new update that lets users personalize their conversations with a chat theme. As per WABetaInfo, the new custom chat themes feature is available for select beta users, starting with WhatsApp version 2.24.21.34 for Android and version 24.20.71 for iOS.
