Despite some launch issues, Wuthering Waves has become an instant favorite to fans after its recent release for the PlayStation 5/4, Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows Platforms earlier this week. Moreover, gamers are immersed in the story-rich world of the RPG title, as they explore the universe with many threats and discover their many abilities.
One of the many common questions gamers have regarding the newest title, is how to play co-op in Wuthering Waves. The title offers both multiplayer and co-op modes for gamers jumping into the world of Solaris-3, a world that is riddled with destruction from a catastrophic event called The Lament.

Unlocking Co-op in Wuthering Waves
Co-op Wuthering Waves is a complete possibility, as it's the multiplayer option for the RPG title. The co-op mode can be played by three players in a multiplayer session. However, if there are only two players, the host will get to control two characters, while the guest will play with one. That being said, to hop onto the co-op session in Wuthering Waves, one must unlock it first.
Gamers must be of Uninon Level 22 at least before they can unlock the multiplayer option in Wuthering Waves. The Union Level in the game progresses through Union Experience, which can be gained through different activities scattered throughout the world of Solaris-3.
These experience points can also be gathered through completing main and side quests, alongside other activities such as opening chests. Completing main story quests will give players enough Union Experience to level up their statistics, and reach Union Level 22. Once the said level is reached, one can try out the multiplayer session with friends.
How to Play Co-op in Wuthering Waves?
After gamers unlock Co-op in Wuthering Waves, one can simply join another player's world after adding them through in-game. Once the friend is added, look for their tag and click on the 'Apply to join' button. Alternatively, gamers can also invite their friends over to their world from the same friends menu.
One can also enable the 'direct entry' option, which can allow friends to join the world without requesting the host. However, it may lead to unwanted traffic.
Wuthering Waves handles the multiplayer option very casually, as it does not incorporate any level restrictions regarding the host or the guest's worlds. This means any player can join their friend's worlds or let them into theirs without needing to level up to their in-game statistics.
