Zotac Zone Handheld Specs Revealed Ahead Of Computex Launch

Just days ahead of its launch at Computex, the Zotac Zone specs have been leaked in all glory, and while the specs look impressive, it could have a tough time establishing against other devices in the market, unless it comes at an aggressive price.

While the Zotac Zone specs leak has opened some really interesting comparisons, it might not be able to challenge the Steam Deck as the best handheld gaming PC, at least for now.

The leak comes via VideoCardz and it suggests certain specs which are yet to be confirmed. The leak could be based on the prototype models being used at Computex not being a complete representation of what the final product may appear to be, and further changes are likely.

Zotac Zone To Take On Mainstream Handhelds

When it comes to raw power, the Zotac Zone will likely brush shoulders with the mainstream handhelds available in the market right now. The device falls short of the ROG Ally X on RAM capacity but can come with an improved AMOLED display that is sure to pique the interest of people who expected the same from ASUS and Lenovo.

Besides, the 48.5Wh battery is one of the smallest seen on handheld devices, with less than an hour and a half expected per charge, although it will depend on the game being played. Another feature that will grab people’s attention is the use of Windows 11, which, according to Phil Spencer, is a significant drawback for devices like the ROG Ally and Legion Go

Valve’s Linux-based SteamOS also comes with its set of caveats, but it is still one of the simplest handheld operating systems to use.

ASUS ROG Ally 2 Handheld Console Coming Soon

ASUS unveiled the ROG Ally handheld console almost a year ago, and it’s a decent Windows-based handheld that has its fair share of cons and pros. It seems the company isn’t wasting any time in fixing those issues, as it has teased the arrival of a new model.
 
 

ASUS has scheduled a YouTube premier for later today at 3 PM ET, with the title “The next ROG Ally is coming.” There isn’t much information about the device revealed in the teaser, so fans will have to wait and see what the company has in store for them.
 
 

This is not the first time a new ROG Ally device has been teased this week. It was previously reported that the company will be taking the wraps off of a so-called ROG Ally 2024 as a product overhaul at Computex instead of a full-blown ROG Ally 2.
