Since its launch in 2020, Valorant, the free-to-play first-person shooter game, players have shown immense love to the game. With various Valorant tournaments and content collaboration, the mobile gaming community hoped Riot would do the same for the mobile platform. In 2021, on the first anniversary of Valorant, Anna Donlon, Valorant Executive Producer, confirmed the news of Valorant coming to mobile.
Since then, the audience has been waiting for some official information regarding the same. Over two years, leaks and rumours about the mobile version have travelled throughout social media.

In an interview with Polygon, Anna Donlon discusses how they started with the talks about Valorant Mobile. Here is what she had to say:
"We didn't start out with 'We're making Valorant on mobile,' we started out with 'Can we make Valorant on mobile?' with a lot of skepticism. For us, whatever you get out of playing on PC, you should get out of playing Valorant on mobile. But we have to recognize that the mobile player need is different."
In her interview, she confirmed that the game on mobile platforms won't affect the PC experience, and since the mobile players' needs are different, the game will be developed similarly.

Riot won't be able to port the PC game into a mobile version simply. Since the development of the game might require optimization based on what Andriod and iOS operating system needs. The fans can expect a change in UI and structures as well.
Last year in April 2022, Valorant Leaks shared a few screenshots, stating that the game is under testing. Moreover, a few stakeholders, like Rushindra Sinha, CEO of Global Esports, claimed to have tested the game and said it wouldn't be coming out in 2023 on his live streams.

Riot LA is also considering remaking the title for consoles. As of now, it is confirmed that the game won't be coming anytime soon. The fans must wait a year or two to get any official update from Riot regarding the mobile version.
