The highly anticipated franchise by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall, has caught the eyes of their fans as the speculated reveal date of Titanfall 3 comes closer. Recently, a small teaser video has been circulating on the internet, which considers the logo of Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts with the text 'Worldwide Reveal.' The video ends with the date 27 October 2023 fading away and the '3' staying on the screen, making fans speculate that it is a possible Titanfall 3 teaser. Even though the previous Titanfall titles weren't a success, fans look forward to experiencing Respawn's upcoming mech-focused first-person shooter game.
While the series shares a highly criticised past for its technical issues, the gameplay was appreciated by everyone. After the failure of Titanfall, Respawn Entertainment went ahead with Apex Legends, which follows a similar mech-themed battle royale game as Titanfall but had the opposite fate. With Star Wars Jedi: Survivor coming into the markets, Respawn's developers will focus on Titanfall's next iteration. The publisher might reveal the game by the end of October.
Fans Expect Titanfall To Make A Comeback With The Third Iteration Of The Franchise by Respawn Entertainment
In the eyes of many, Titanfall has been a decent game to play, but despite that, the franchise has seen a rough time in the industry. During the release of Titanfall, Respawn's poor execution resulted in a flop debut. Respawn Entertainment launched Titanfall exclusively for the Xbox consoles, which weren't popular among gamers. Despite their exclusive release, the game was highly appreciated in terms of gameplay, and graphics but the lack of a traditional single-player campaign did bite the publishers back.
While Titanfall 2 improved its predecessor, the publisher's poor execution again led to their failure. Titanfall 2 was set to launch on 28 October 2023, just a week after the release of EA's Battlefield 1. To make things worse, Activision released Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare a week after the Titanfall 2 launch. Despite its potential, the game had no chance of standing against the juggernaut of first-person shooter games, Call of Duty.
Explaining the release of two EA games, CEO Andrew Wilson claimed that with two games in the market, EA will be able to cater to different FPS fans, and the launches will help the companies consolidate their spot. Unfortunately, Titanfall 2 couldn't back the CEO's word, and the game's launch was a blunder.
With the success of Titanfall 2's spin-off Apex Legends, fans are eager to see what Titanfall 3 will bring for them. According to reports, developers at Respawn Entertainment have begun working on the game, and the fans could see an official teaser soon.
