Over the past month, Team SouL was seen struggling throughout the entirety of BGMS Season 2, and was eventually eliminated from the event after failing to make it to the Grand Finals from the playoffs stage. This came as a shock to the fans and the team, as both fans and pundits had them locked in to qualify. But in the final points table, they were placed at the 13th spot. The players were seen getting emotional, and their owner, Naman 'Mortal' Mathur, reacted live on stream after their elimination.

"Now the players will realise," Mortal on Team SouL's elimination
Mortal was streaming when his chat began spamming that the team failed to qualify. Mortal, without losing his composure, told his audience that he got to know about the whole situation and that the boys would learn from their mistakes now.
The point is that the players will realise a lot of things. To be very honest, the problem with young blood in India is that they realise their mistakes quite late. We also faced the same, so don't worry about it. Whatever issues were found, they will be worked upon.
Mortal also explained that the team will now look into what could be done. The team meetings between the coach, manager and IGL would prevent further permutations and combinations and would give the team a playing four. Mortal reiterated that the management knows what has to be done.
We didn't want to put any kind of pressure on the team. We will discuss what has to be done next in the meetings. We have to take responsibility, and what happened was necessary for everyone.
For the unversed, Team SouL was placed at the 13th position and only 12 teams were going to move ahead to the BGMS Season 2 grand finals. They were tied with Team XSpark, who also had 41 points. The only reason why TX qualified over SouL was the former's placement points. According to the Esports guidelines presented by Krafton, position points would always take precedence over finish points.
