Microsoft offers an Xbox Live Gold subscription service for its Xbox gaming platform. It provides various benefits and features to enhance Xbox consoles' online multiplayer gaming experience. Microsoft also offers Xbox Game Pass, which divides gamers into two services. Microsoft might transition these into Xbox Game Pass Core subscriptions to avoid further division.
According to the leak, the Xbox Live Gold will be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Core subscription from 01 September 2023, and players must have the Core subscription to enjoy multiplayer benefits.

Leak suggests Microsoft Might End Xbox Live Gold in September
A few hours ago, a Twitter user, Wario64, found out about the Xbox Game Pass Core on a Korean Website, where it says that Xbox Game Pass Core will replace Xbox Live Gold from 01 September 2023. The user was one of the first to notice this Korean website, which contains details of the upcoming Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
The website has a dead Windows Central hyperlink alongside the Game Pass details. When one tries to open the link, the website says, 'No articles found.' If one reads the slug carefully, the article's title could be 'Microsoft is killing Xbox Live Gold; Say hi to Xbox Pass Core'. It's possible that Windows Central posted the article a bit early, and just before they could revert it back, the Korean website picked it up.
The website mentions other details regarding the new 'Core' subscription. The pricing of 'Core' will be similar to what Xbox Gold Live has ($9.99 per month / $59.99 per year). The 'Core' subscription is a must to enjoy multiplayer benefits, and the existing gold subscribers will automatically be converted to core subscribers.
The website also mentions the addition of more than 25 Game Pass games. The newly added games are:
Among Us, Descenders, Dishonored 2, DOOM Eternal, Fable Anniversary, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Grounded, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Human Fall Flat, INSIDE, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Psychonauts 2, State of Decay 2, Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. (MS says this list will increase further in a few months)
