Krafton confirms Rs. 2 Crore Prize Pool for BGIS 2023, Starts July 20

Earlier this week, Krafton Esports India teased the arrival of BGIS 2. In a cryptic teaser with the quote "Rise Up," fans were lead to believe that "The Grind" was back. Today, Krafton posted confirmation of the event and the Rs. 2 crore prize pool that will go along with it. The post also mentions that registrations will open soon, but no details have been provided yet.

BGIS 2023 Likely to Feature Over 200 Teams

Battlegrounds India Series 2 is expected to run for five whole weeks, giving teams plenty of time to find their form. The month-long BGMI esports tournament will be divided into various stages that will give teams time to adapt while new players get a chance to make their way into the final stages of BGIS 2. 

The first stage of the event is reportedly going to be BGIS 2023: The Grind. It is expected to be an invite-only event with 256 teams getting special invites. Insider information further reveals that most of the teams have started receiving their invites for The Grind already. These practice matches will start on July 20, 2023.

In addition to that, there will be open registrations for teams around the country who wish to become a part of BGIS 2. Players can form their squads and keep their information handy before the registrations start at the currently undisclosed date. 

Audiences will get to see the best of the best teams honing their skills in The Grind, trying new strategies and team roles. Fan-favourite teams like Team XSpark, GodLike, and Team SouL are likely to be a part of the Grind. It will be interesting to see how they better their recent performances and if we fans will see some new faces rise to prominent at The Grind.
