After a shock departure from Blind Esports mid-tournament, Spower made a move to GodLike Esports. However, this didn't sit well with the fans who accused GodLike Esports of poaching Spower. Since then, Spower has cleared the air regarding the whole situation and said that he wasn't poached. He also explained the rationale behind the move and spoke about offers he received from other BGMI squads as well.

Spower Reveals Why He Chose GodLike Esports

Days after Blind Esports officially announced the release of Spower from their roster, GodLike announced his addition to their roster ahead of BGIS 2023 The Grind. During a live stream, Spower talked about a lot of things including why he chose GodLike over all the other offers he had. He said it was mostly about synergy and that he had spent a lot of time playing with the team in scrims, so it was an obvious choice.

"I never left Blind keeping GodLike as a backup. There were some issues that happened with Blind, and we decided that the old playing four of Blind Esports should continue, and the news slipped out."

He also said that rather than spending time building synergy and letting some other team down, he choose to play with GodLike where he already feels comfortable and a part of the system.

"I had a lot of offers coming in, a lot of teams didn't have a fourth man. There were a lot of BGMI related event in the next two months. It only made sense to me that I joined GodLike because I've played with them for almost one and a half years. Creating synergy with another team, in such a short while would have been tough."

Spower reiterated that there wasn't any poaching involved and that people should stop insinuating so. He also added that moving away from Blind Esports only made the rest of the squad more tight-knit and he never broke the team. For now, GodLike Esports has already played the first round of BGIS 2023 The Grind and have qualified for round two.
