A Brief Overview Of The Echo System In Wuthering Wave

Echoes are equipment that the characters can equip to give them a stat boost and use the Echo’s abilities to enhance the team’s defence, attack, and more. Players can get an Echo by defeating enemies or completing a Tacit Field. Each player belongs to a particular class and has elements that have different effects and can be paired with a similar element, such as Echo, to unlock Set Bonuses/Sonata Effects.

Each Echo can belong to one of the four rarities: Common, Elites, Overload, and Calamity. Depending on the class, each Echo will have its own primary and secondary stats. Here are the different main stats an Echo can have:

  • Common Class - ATK%, DEF%, HP%
  • Elites = ATK%, DEF%, HP%, Energy Regen%, Elemental Damage Boost
  • Bosses = ATK%, DEF%, HP%, Crit Rate%, Crit DMG%, Healing Bonus%

Here are all the sub-stats an Echo can have:

  • Flat ATK
  • Flat HP
  • Flat DEF
  • ATK%
  • HP%
  • DEF%
  • Energy Regen%
  • Crit Rate%
  • Crit DMG%
  • Basic Attack DMG Bonus%
  • Heavy Attack DMG Bonus%
  • Resonance Skill DMG Bonus%
  • Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus

While players can couple different Echoes together, they need to make sure the total cost is below the max cost. Generally, the max cost of Echoes is 12(lower at lower levels), and players must ensure they choose the best possible combination. Here are the costs of Echoes of different classes:

  • Common = 1 Cost
  • Elites = 3 Cost
  • Bosses (Overlord/Calamity) = 4 Cost

Players can upgrade their Echoes using Tuning. With Tuning, players can unlock a sub-stat of an Echo with the help of materials. These materials can be obtained via Simulation Training.
