Voice Artist Kevin Afghani is Officially the New Voice of Mario in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Kevin Afghani has been finally revealed as the voice of Super Mario moving forward. The actor will replace Charles Martinet and will be first heard in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, releasing next week on October 20, 2023. Afghani officially confirmed the news on October 13, 2023, as he posted an official tweet on his Twitter/.X handle. He thanked Nintendo for the opportunity as he voiced both Mario and Luigi in the upcoming installment. 

The upcoming Super Mario game is an anticipated title for the Nintendo Switch console. With various new platforming puzzles and a new look at the Flower Kingdom, fans expect much from the latest Mario title.

Charles Martinet Replaced by Kevin Afghani in the Upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Kevin Afghani is a prolific actor who has lent his voice to many TV series, shorts, and video games, including known titles like Genshin Impact, Mashed, and Anime Penguin: Red Snow. Throughout his career, he has appeared in both big and small projects, portraying many characters in the industry. The upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder is an exciting adventure for fans as they learn a different and brand-new voice for the legendary plumber protagonist, Mario. 

Charles Martinet has been the original voice for Mario from 1994 to 2023. On September 7, 2023, Martinet announced that he would be stepping into a brand new role of Mario Ambassador. Following the shift, Nintendo appointed a new voice to the legendary character moving forward. Moreover, it is yet to see how the fans receive Afghani's voice. Mario's shoes are big to fill, as the character has been a beloved face in the gaming industry since its inception. With a new voice taking over, all the fans are in for a unique experience after decades.
