PlayStation Showcase Planned for This Month; GTA 6 Trailer 2 Heavily Rumoured

The long-awaited and rumored PlayStation Showcase is happening this month, according to a prominent journalist from Giant Bomb, Jeff Grub. Moreover, gamers are speculating a new GTA 6 trailer for the upcoming showcase due to Rockstar Games' marketing partnership with Sony. This showcase could be another opportunity for Rockstar to show off their Grand Theft Auto title to fans, with gamers also eagerly waiting for more official insight into the game. 

Last month, Grub also stated that a future PlayStation event might take place any time this month and reveal more on anticipated titles like the Silent Hill 2 Remake. In the last Giant Bombcast, he also mentioned that the Sony event could be announced "at any moment."

GTA 6 Heavily Rumoured as Part of PlayStation Showcase 

During the Giant Bombcast livestream, Jeff Grub said that the Sony Showcase is happening this month. He stated:

"The PlayStation Showcase is happening this month still apparently. " 

He further said that it could be next week or the week after. Grubb did not have an exact date for the showcase but is still expecting Sony to announce it any time now. While concluding his statement on the matter, he said there is a chance that the PlayStation Showcase might occur near the end of the month. 

According to a wccftech report on the showcase, a ResentEra user named John Harker has also spoken about the showcase, reportedly planned for this month. Harker made a post in January 2024, saying that whatever Sony did not reveal at the time is saved for the future PlayStation Showcase or 'E3'. As most gamers by now know that E3s are not in action anymore, one may anticipate a lot from the PlayStation Showcase. Judging from Sony's previous year's timeline in the same month, the PlayStation maker held major titles like Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 and more. 

With the upcoming PlayStation Showcase reportedly coming this month, gamers are expecting similar treatment and reveals for various major entries, including Silent Hill 2. The possibility of another GTA 6 trailer is also something fans are extremely excited about. So far, Rockstar Games have only revealed a single trailer for the title, which came last year. A major event like the PlayStation Showcase can be a good time for them to drop another trailer to fans.
