Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Update Release Date, And Banners

The current version of the Honkai Satr Rail update will near its end, and to mark the same, HoYoverse also hosted a live stream detailing everything that would make it into the new 1.6 update. The update is named the "Crown of the Mundane and Divine". Here is a rundown of everything, including Honkai Star Rail 1.6 update release date, character banners and additional information about the update.

Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Update Release Date

The update is released 10-12 days after the live stream. Following that, the Honkai Star Rail 1.6 update will be released on December 27, 2023, and the players will be able to update the game and enjoy the additions of the new update. 

Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Update Banners

The 1.6 update will introduce a new character, Ruan Mei, which is a 5-star character. She and Blade will be introduced in the first phase of the update. In the update's second phase, Dr. Ratio and Kafka will be introduced in the game. Multiple banner reruns will also take place in the two phases of the update. Here is the character banner for the upcoming version 1.6 update: 

Phase one

• Ruan Mei – 5-star, Ice, The Harmony
  • Xueyi – 4-star, Quantum, The Destruction
  • March 7th – 4-star, Ice, The Preservation
  • Tingyun – 4-star, Lightning, The Harmony
• Blade – 5-star, Wind, The Destruction

Phase two

• Dr. Ratio – 5-star, Imaginary, The Hunt
  • Sushang – 4-star, Physical, The Hunt
  • Natasha – 4-star, Physical, The Abundance
  • Hook – 4-star, Fire, The Destruction
• Kafka – 4-star, Electric, The Nihility

Honkai Star Rail 1.6 Update Light Cones

Along with the new 5-star characters, the update will also bring new Light Cones that will help build the characters' strength and will help upgrade them. With one 5-star character in each phase, there will be a new Light Cone for both the characters.

Ruan Mei’s Light Cone, is called the "Past Self in Mirror". It will help increase the level of the character. The Ligh Cone's description was leaked online before it was released and it says: 

Increases the wearer’s ATK, and after casting Skill, if the SPD of an ally is over 100, increases their DMG considering how many points exceed 100. This effect can be stacked and lasts for a certain amount of rounds.

Dr. Ratio will also receive a Light Cone that will help the players increase their levels. It is called the “Baptism of Pure Thought,” and its description will be released later.
