Grand Theft Auto 5 actor Ned Luke was recently swatted which led to him abruptly ending his stream on Thanksgiving day. As of late, swatting has become a frequent problem within the streaming community, where an anonymous person would file a false report to law enforcement, leading to a SWAT team responding to the streamer's house. The actor has been the most recent victim of this issue on this year's Thanksgiving.

Ned Luke, Grand Theft Auto 5 Actor Swatted on Stream While Playing GTA Online
With Grand Theft Auto 6's announcement nearing soon, many fans are happy to tune into popular GTA personality streams, such as Ned Luke himself. Luke is popularly known for voicing Michael De Santa in Grand Theft Auto 5. The playable character has garnered a lot of love from fans since the game's launch in 2013. The voice artist is also seen streaming his favorite games alongside GTA Online from time to time. Moreover, he is a regular streamer on YouTube.
Recently, the voice actor and streamer played GTA Online with his community when he received a phone call from law enforcement. Following the call, the streamer announced that he would be ending his stream as he was swatted. This obviously shocked a lot of viewers on his stream as the news came out unexpectedly from Ned. Many were worried about his situation as the call was very sudden.
Soon after the incident, Ned responded to his community as he assured his fans about his safety and well-being. At the time of the incident, many viewers were theorizing about Rockstar Games being at fault for the predicament; however, Luke has responded clearly that the publishers were not at fault. The incident created a lot of chaos within the stream as fans were quick to defend Luke, calling out the swatting act as a felony. On the other hand, many were surprised to see swatting as a prominent issue. Aside from Ned Luke, many content creators have also faced this issue recently. IShowSpeed and Luke Stephens to name a few, the swatting issue continues to grow as the days pass.
Actor Ned Luke has consistently engaged with gaming audiences since his appearance in GTA V in 2013 and continues to be one of the most popular actors to have worked in the franchise. Given his character's popularity, many are hoping for Michael to make an appearance in the next GTA title. However, neither the actor nor the publisher has made any elusions to his character's inclusion in the sequel. Rockstar plans to reveal the trailer for the highly anticipated GTA 6 in December, however, the exact date is still unknown.
