VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai Playoffs: Qualified Teams, Format And More

The group stage of the Valorant Champions Tour 2024: Masters Shanghai has come to an end. VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai group stage featured eight teams competing for a slot into the playoffs against the already qualified regional winners. After the conclusion of the group stage, fans have their top eight Valorant teams, who will go against each other in the playoffs for the championship title.

VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai playoffs will start on 30 May 2024 and will follow a double-elimination format. For the playoffs, the regional winners had a chance to choose their opponents from the group stage-qualified teams in the first round.

All You Need To Know About The VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai Playoffs

After winning their first two games, GenG and G2 Esports became the first two teams to qualify for the playoffs. Team Heretics and FUT Esports followed them by winning their do-or-die games on the final day of the group stages. GenG, G2 Esports, FUT Esports and Team Heretics are the final four Valorant teams to qualify for the VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai playoffs.

After the group stages, the regional winners, who had already qualified for the playoffs, had a chance to pick their opponents for the first round of the playoffs via a draw. In the draw, Paper Rex got the first chance and decided to pick G2 Esports as their opponent, whereas 100 Thieves picked FUT Esports. The Chinese powerhouse EDward Gaming decided to go for Team Heretics, leaving Fnatic with GenG. Here is the schedule for the round 1 of the playoffs.

The playoffs will follow a double-elimination format and will continue till 9 June 2024. On 9 June 2024, fans will see the top two Valorant teams competing in the grand finals for the championship title, the glorious Masters Shanghai trophy and the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
