Sources have revealed that with the Indian elections set to be held around the same time, Skyesports is having difficulty to confirm a venue to the event.
According to Dust2 India’s report, Skyesports couldn’t finalize the venue for the Skyesports Masters 2024 due to the upcoming Indian Elections. Last year, Skyesports had planned to host another international CS2 LAN Skyesports Souvenir 2023 in Columbo, Sri Lanka, but later switched the mode to an online event.
Skyesports Masters 2024 will feature seven international teams, including Aurora Gaming, the winners of the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024, BIG, ENCE, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and OG, and the winner of the closed European qualifiers. Masters will have an Indian representative, who will be decided upon via the Indian qualifiers. The tournament featured a mammoth prize pool of $350,000, and the winner would get a direct entry to Skyesports Championship 2024. At the moment, Skyesports is yet to confirm the new. With the Skyesports Masters 2024, Skyesports planned to bring the top international CS2 teams to India, and add India to the global Counter-Strike esports map.
