Orangutan Gaming Wins Acer India Predator League 2024 Grand Finals Against True Rippers

After a dominant performance from Team Whoops in the Acer India Predator League 2024 Dota 2 finals, it was time for the Valorant giants to take the stage. For the Valorant finals, Orangutan Gaming and True Rippers went against each other to write another chapter of their rivalry. 

Orangutan was up for another best-of-three matchup after defeating True Rippers in the upper bracket finals. Both teams gave their best to book their tickets to APAC Predator League 2024, but in the end, Orangutan Gaming took the victory with a 2-0 scoreline. With the victory, Orangutan Gaming received their share of Rs. 3,50,000 out of the Rs. 6,50,000 prize pool and a golden ticket to represent India in the Philippines at APAC Predator League 2024 which will take place next year in January.

Orangutan Gaming vs True Rippers: Acer India Predator League 2024 Grand Finals Recap

In the Valorant LAN finals of India Predator League 2024, Orangutan Gaming and True Rippers were reunited for a grudge match. After falling to Orangutan at TEC Challengers, it was time for True Rippers to take their revenge in the upper bracket finals. Players competing for Orangutan Gaming consisted of Antidote, Excali, Rawfiul, Azys, and Frostmind, whereas Hellff, Deathmaker, Disrupt, Techno, and Aryu were playing under the banner of True Rippers.

To begin their battle, the teams entered the map of Split. While True Rippers were giving tough competition to their opponents, Orangutan Gaming decimated them by winning back-to-back rounds to win Split with a 13-9 scoreline. After winning the first map, Orangutan was in a hurry to finish the match. In the second map of Breeze, Orangutan Gaming decimated True Rippers with a 13-6 scoreline and won their best-of-three matchup. 

After winning against True Rippers, Orangutan Gaming was crowned the India Predator League 2024 champions and will fly to the Philippines for the APAC Predator League 2024 finals. The APAC Predator League 2024 will take place in Manila, Philippines from 13 January 2024 to 15 January 2024.

Orangutan Gaming received a prize of Rs. 3,50,000 out of the Rs. 6,50,000 prize pool. True Rippers and Reckoning Esports were the first and second runner-ups, receiving Rs. 2,00,000 and Rs. 1,00,000, respectively. Azys from Orangutan Gaming were declared the Most Valuable Player of the grand finals and won gift vouchers worth Rs. 20,000.
