Highlights

    The Nodwin X Rooter BGMI Champions Cup 2023 league stage with 32 invited teams has concluded. After eight days of gruelling battles, many teams including GodLike, have been eliminated. The top 16 teams have qualified for the finals and are fighting for a share of the 27 Lakh INR prize pool. After a thrilling league stage, audiences expected nothing but the best on the first day of the BGMI Champions Cup Finals Stage, and the teams delivered.

    Nodwin X Rooter BGMI Champions Cup 2023 Finals: Day 1 Standings

    Gladiator Esports displayed sheer dominance on day 1, securing the top spot on the leaderboard with 68 points and 38 finishes. Despite being unable to win a single Chicken Dinner, Revenant Esports secured second place with the help of 36 finishes. Blind Esports continued their good form with 32 finishes. 

     

    Gods Reign won two Chicken Dinners but fell short on eliminations, dropping to the fourth position in the leaderboard. Entity Gaming is in fifth position with 41 points followed by OR Esports in sixth with 31 points. Orangutan Gaming, Team Aladin, and Team 8BIT are in the seventh, eighth, and ninth spots, respectively, with 29 points each. 

    Fan favorite Team Soul is at the eleventh spot with 28 points. The newly formed Numen Esports is waiting for its first Chicken Dinner and is holding 15th place with 16 points. Day 2 of BGMI Champions Cup 2023 will begin from 1 PM onwards on July 30, 2023. 

    Nodwin X Rooter BGMI Champions Cup 2023 Finals: Day 1 Recap

    On Day 1, the top 16 teams played six maps, of which three were Erangel, two were Miramar, and one was Sanhok. The day started with the map of Erangel, and Gladiator Esports showcased their dominance with a ten-elimination Chicken Dinner. Gladiator Esports' wrath continued with another ten eliminations and a Chicken Dinner on the second map, Miramar. 

     

    The third map was the green map of Sanhok, where the server saw a new winner. Gods Reign emerged victorious with an 11-kill Chicken Dinner. In the fourth match, the teams circled back to Erangel, where Orangutan grabbed the Chicken Dinner with nine elimination points. 

     

    The fifth map took the fight to the deserted map of Miramar where Gods Reign won their second Chicken Dinner of the day with seven eliminations points. The day ended with the map of Erangel, and Gladiator Esports decided to make a statement by winning the final match with 12 elimination points.

    • But as things stand right now, the show must go on and the action will begin on September 27, at Kochi’s Adlux International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    • GodLike Esports, after almost three years, made it to the last stage of an official event.

    Krafton’s second official event of the year, BMPS 2024 is in its last leg. After grinding for more than a month, 16 out of the original 128 teams have reached Kochi, Kerala to take part in the final battle for the major chunk of Rs 2 crore prize pool. Is your favourite team a part of the final 16.


    Teams like iQOO Soul failed to make it to the final, but GodLike Esports, after almost three years, made it to the last stage of an official event. Fans would also miss the champion of champion from last year, the lineup led by Destro. This lineup also saw a lot of ups and downs, and saw Shogun’s farewell, Spower’s addition and farewell.

    But as things stand right now, the show must go on and the action will begin on September 27, at Kochi’s Adlux International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    The semi-finals of BMPS 2024 have begun with 24 teams competing for a place in the finals, which will take place in Kochi, Kerala. The teams played six matches in a day and the ones who remain a part of the top 16 will make it to finals. On day 1, TWOB, led by Prince clinched first place with 49 points. In second place was Team XSpark with 38 points and the highest finishes in the game: 27. 

     

    Extremely seasoned teams like team iQOO Soul and Global Esports failed to make it to the semi finals of the Rs 2 crore prize pool competition.

    TWOB Tops Points Table on BMPS 2024 Semifinals Day 1

     

    The first match of the day was won by Reckoning Esports. The squad comprising of young lads was able to get a 22 points chicken dinner. The second match of the day was played in Miramar. It was Medal Esports' lineup that consisted of experienced players that won by game with a 17 points chicken dinner. The third match od the day was won by Team XSpark. The team managed to get a huge 17 finishes chicken dinner, taking their total of a whopping 38 points at the end of the day. Here is what the points table for the first day looks like:

Wingod Esports won the last match of the day and they got a total of 25 points from the match.

    A shocking piece of news is coming from GodLike Esports' camp as their EA FC athlete, Saransh Jain took to X (formerly Twitter) and informed his audience that he has decided to part ways with the organisation. Saransh had joined the organisation in October 2022. Since then, he has represented the organisation in various global competitions. However, because of not receiving his fees for the last six months, the pro player decided to leave the organisation.

    Saransh Jain Leaves GodLike Esports Almost 2 Years After Joining The Organisation

     

     

    In a post on X, Saransh said that he is a free agent for EA FC 25. In addition to that, he also added that if there is an organisation who will be willing to get him onboard as an athlete, they can message or email him. 

     

    Curious about his sudden departure, one of the fans confirmed whether he had left GodLike Esports, to which, he replied "yes." He also added that he hadn't received his dues for over six months, which is why he had to take the decision to leave. 

     

    He also posted the same message on Instagram, and wrote:

    For now, it is unclear where Saransh will go next. It has been a while since he posted on X. For now, it is safe to assume that he is still a free agent and is still looking for a time. In addition to this, GodLike Esports has not reacted to the whole situation, neither have they given out a public statement with regards to Saransh's exit. Normally, GodLike Esports posts a farewell post for their athletes, but this hasn't been the case for Saransh.

    Round 2 of BMPS 204 will begin today with 64 teams competing to make it to the top of the leaderboard and make it to the next round. To announce the groups of the second round, Krafton India Esports hosted a live stream to pick the draws. The thrill of seeing their favourite team was so great that a lot of fans joined the stream. Here is what the groups and all the 64 teams that have qualified look like.
