While the esports scene for the game was hampered for quite a while due to the forsaken fiasco, things seem to be getting better with events like TEC Arena Connect and Skyesports Masters.

Marcos Gaming Are The Champions Of TEC Arena Connect Pune CS:GO
Marcos Gaming, one of the most prominent esports organizations in India, recently announced their Indian Counter-Strike roster consisting of players like Defaulter and Gh0STTTT. They secured victory at TEC Arena Connect against 7Sea Esports, one of the best teams in the country.
However, the road to their success has not been easy. During the semi-finals, Marcos faced 2EZ Gaming, where SkWow popped off on an individual level, putting up an absolutely monstrous 40+ kills in the game. However, as Marcos’ McGillz denied the ace clutch from SkWow, the tables seemed to turn as they ended the first half with an 8-7 lead on Ancient. After dragging the game to overtime after being down 12-15, Marcos seemed to gain the advantage as Defaulter hit his shots and secured a spot for the team in the Grand Finals.
As the Grand Finals approached, Marcos Gaming looked strong, winning map 1 with ease. However, the tides shifted for Marcos as the defending champions, 7Sea Esports, made a comeback on the second map of Nuke. Defaulter, the In-Game Leader of Marcos Gaming, claimed that they were not prepared for Nuke as they had just started boot camp with the new team and needed time before fully mastering the map.
On the third map of Ancient, Marcos was pretty confident after their 12-15 comeback in the previous match against 2EZ Gaming. They were prepared with comprehensive strats and setups to counter 7Sea Esports. Defaulter stated that their strong communication as a team automatically makes their trade games and number advantages stronger. Their first LAN win will only help them ascend further in the budding CS:GO scene. This victory will help them gain experience and flesh out their strat book for the upcoming Skyesports Masters League.
