On June 26, Marcos Gaming announced the release of their BGMI roster. The decision left fans stunned and surprised as they did not expect such a big name in the community to leave the scene. Marcos Gaming’s owner clarified that they will be back and will be taking a short break from competitive BGMI for now.
Marcos Gaming is a big name in the list of top Indian esports organizations. They had recently announced their partnership with Skyesports for the upcoming CS:GO Masters tournament, which will also mark their expansion into Indian PC esports.

Marcos Gaming Parts Ways With BGMI Roster Ahead Of BGIS 2023
This is what the official announcement contains:
"With (a) heavy heart we say goodbye to our BGMI roster. (These are) some of the very good folks we have come across but due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to let them go. We will be taking a break on BGMI operations. Comeback will be stronger."
The organization further added:
"Sorry and Thank you (to their players) for everything, have a great career ahead. Hope our paths meet in future."
Marcos Gaming participated in a lot of 3rd party events and tournaments during their tenure in competitive BGMI. While it’s true that they have left the scene for now, they did hint at a possible comeback after a short break from the game. While this is the end for their BGMI roster, Marcos Gaming is far from out of the esports scene.
Earlier this week, Marcos Gaming announced that they're fielding a brand new CS:GO roster. This roster will partake in India's first franchised CS:GO league, Skyesports Masters. While their lineup hasn't been revealed yet, it has been confirmed that two of their players will be signed from cafe qualifiers.
