Gladiators Esports unexpectedly announced that their champion BGMI roster consisting of Destro, Justin, Shogun, and Delta PG will not be continuing with the organisation. The announcement also carried the news that they had closed operations in India. Gladiators Esports operated in India for seven months and in such a short period, the team won two major BGMI tournaments, BGIS 2023 and BGMS Season 2. GDR's IGL, Destro, went live shortly after the announcement and addressed the questions that the audience had for the team.

Once the announcement was made, Destro went live on YouTube and decided to answer the pressing questions that a very shocked audience had for him. Most of the chat asked him about the future of the lineup since he had posted that the lineup is sticking together for the next three years. Responding to this question, he said:
The lineup is going to be sticking together, all of us will stay together, but... there will be an addition to the lineup, mostly. There are more chances that at least one person will get added to the lineup.
Most of the audience wanted him to tell them where the four players were going and who the new addition to the lineup would be. To quell the excitement, Destro gave the audience a hint and said that the team where he and the rest of the three players will end up has "O" as the second letter in its name. This led to a frenzy in the chat with many naming Soul, GodLike Esports, and Gods Reign.
As far as the competitive year for Gladiators Esports is concerned, the team won BGMS 2023 and BGIS 2023. Both the events carried a prize pool of Rs 2.1 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively. They were also deemed the most consistent team in the 2023 competitive year, and their departure from the organization shocked everyone.
