Godlike Esports Places Second at Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2023

GodLike Esports’ Call of Duty Mobile team, one of two representatives for India, emerged as runners-up at the CODM World Championship in the USA. Along with securing a cash prize of $170,000 (INR 1.4 cr), Team GodLike delivered the best performance by an Indian Team ever at the World Championship.

How did Team Godlike Secure The Second Position In the CODM World Championship?

 


 

Last year, Team GodLike nearly qualified for the playoffs and have levelled up with their performance this time around. The line-up consisting of Learn, Neutrino, Trunks, Abhizdada, Skullguy, and Prevail concluded their Swiss Stage at 3-1 overall. Beating top-ranked teams, Godlike marched into the playoffs. In the semi-final (the match with the highest viewership in the tournament) GodLike defeated former 2-time world champion Luminosity. However. The squad ultimately went down fighting 2-4 to Team Wolves from China in the finals.



The Call of Duty Mobile World Championship saw the participation of 16 teams from the USA, Canada, China, Singapore, West Europe, Eastern Europe, Brazil, Mexico, and Japan. It consisted of 5 stages and the first 3 stages were qualifiers while Stage 4 featured the National Championship. Team GodLike were undefeated Champions through all the four stages without dropping a game and a single map at stage 4, asserting dominance at the national stage. 

 

Reflecting on the team’s journey at the world championship, Chetan “Kronten” Chandgude, Founder of GodLike Esports, stated:
