GodLike Esports Releases Ghatak From Organization
In a video uploaded on YouTube and Instagram, GodLike Esports paid tribute to Ghatak and announced he would no longer be a part of GodLike Esports. Ghatak joined GodLike Esports in April 2021 and brought with him the TSMent BGMI lineup that plays for GodLike now. The caption of the Instagram post read:
Joined as a Legend and Now Leaving Behind a Legacy. Thank You Ghatak for your contributions to the organisation and we wish you a very successful and bright future ahead.
In a live stream that Ghatak had hosted on Instagram, he had hinted that he would be leaving the organisation and is working on starting his own thing. During that live stream, Ghatak had said:
See, now the thing is, I have reached that level that no one can afford me, in the sense that I have my own fixed ways of working now and I can't get comfortable anywhere else.
Ghatak has also said that he has two options, either take up a different role in GodLike, or start something of his own, which would mean that he will be leaving the organisation. With this departure, Ghatak is likely to start his own thing, which will be revealed soon.
During his time with GodLike Esports, Ghatak helped the team win three unofficial titles, namely Skyesports Championship 3.0, Ranbhoomi Season 1 and Loco War of Glory. Under his guidance, the team came fourth in BGIS 2021 and also represented India at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021.
In the next year, the team went through a low phase and was seen struggling. However, they made a comeback and finished second in BGMS Season 1. After the game made a comeback, the roster was still seen struggling and they took the tough decision of making changes to the roster. The team added Jelly, who was a part of Orange Rock and Aditya, who was a part of Team XSpark.
Even after these changes in the roster, the team didn't qualify for the BMPS 2023 finals, making it the third official event of the year where the team didn't qualify.
